The holiday season is a busy time to find the answers and enter a contest. We would like to congratulate all of those who took the time to try.
Only 8 entries qualified for the drawing which was held on January 2, so only one winner was chosen. The winner was Anne from SC.
For all of you who have been wondering what the answers were, here they are along with the best place to find them:

8. Who would you guess has been picking and drying wild rose hips all summer long so that she can make a tea that will help keep her sisters from getting sick so easily during the cold winter months? She has also visited William Schiller for some honey to go in the tea, and is ready to share her stores on holiday evenings with pieces of spicy gingerbread she will bake. *Bonus 1. Who do you think has learned to care for the girls more than she wants to admit, and is knitting a scarf for each of them for Christmas (all the same color, of course) so that they can keep their ears and necks warm? **Bonus 2. Who do you think is quietly using some of her own funds to make sure that the pantry is stocked with plenty of ingredients to make extra treats for the holiday season? Mrs. Miller (This is from April's Journal, but for those good a guessing there were clues in the town directory on the web site.)
